Extra Credit 1

"Jubilate Deo in C" by Benjamin Britten [1913-1976]
The Jubilate Deo, written for St George’s Chapel, Windsor, at the request of the Duke of Edinburgh but first performed in Leeds Parish Church, is full of interesting tonalities, bright organ flourishes, and contrasts of tempi and texture that combine to create a festive atmosphere. Performed by the choirs of the Leicester Cathedral Legacy Concert in October 2013 conducted by Dr. Chris Johns with Simon Headley at the Harrison & Harrison organ.

This piece was included in the funeral service of Prince Philip (Duke of Edinburgh) which was held in St. George's Chapel, Windsor Castle, on Saturday, April 17, 2021.  {Sheelagh}

Extra Credit 2

St. George's Chapel, Windsor Castle, U.K.

Click here {or on one of the photos below} to take a virtual tour of St. George's Chapel.
If attending a service in the Quire, and depending on where you are seated, you will walk on the tomb stone of Henry VIII. This is my hometown so just being a little self-indulgent. {Sheelagh}
