Gospel Hymn # 232| By all your saints {to listen click the white arrow below}

A wonderful version of this same hymn tune to different words honoring all faithful women by the men’s choir and congregation of First Plymouth Church, Lincoln Nebraska. In our hymnal there is a special verse written for this hymn for St. Stephen:

All praise, O Lord, for Stephen who, martyred, saw you stand

To help in time of torment, to plead at God’s right hand.

Like you, our suffering Savior, his enemies he blessed,

With “Lord, receive my spirit,”, his faith, in death, confessed.

Found this billed as “Our Father” in Aramaic in an Assyrian Orthodox Church with Pope Francis attending, but actually Psalm 50 I guess--haunting, mystical, powerful!

Closing Hymn Hymn 518 | Christ is made the sure foundation
{to listen click the white arrow below}

A version from St. John’s, Detroit, a high church parish in the Episcopal Diocese of Michigan. Note the very old fashioned ‘fiddleback’ chasuble on the priest. This church has a fabulous organ!
